Kelley J Jackson moved to New York to study acting. She completed the two year Meisner Conservatory at The Maggie Flanigan Studio where she studied with Maggie Flanigan. She is a member of The Actors Center in New York and has performed with The Upright Citizens Brigade improv groups in New York and Los Angeles.
She's recently performed leading roles in "What Are You Doing Here?" at the Gene Frankel Theater under the direction of Michelle Bossy as a part of the Planet Connections Theater Festival, in "Inhale" at The Gallery Player's Theater under the direction of Taibi Magar, and a reading of "I Put The Fear Of Mexico In'Em" at the INTAR Theater in NYC under the direction of Mando Alvarado.
On the big and small screens, she's appeared on LAW AND ORDER: SVU, THE LAST SHIP on TNT, THE WHITEST KIDS U'KNOW on IFC, THE ONION NEWS NETWORK, and has starred in "In The Key of D" (Official Selection: Stony Brook Film Festival, New York City Filmmaker's Festival, Dusty Film Festival, and Long Island International Film Festival), "Black and White and Grey" (Official Selection: Newport Beach Film Festival, Greenpoint BK Film Festival), "Passersby" (Best Ensemble Cast, New Visions and Voices Festival), "Welcome Home", "The King's Pawn" (Vimeo Official Selection), and "The Gardener".
Kelley has written the first in a series of short films "Becoming Mim" shot in NYC which she starred and co-directed. She is writing her first feature to shoot in Texas, and she's got a few other irons in the fire....
Kelley J Jackson grew up in Comfort, Texas. She graduated from The University of Texas in Austin with a degree in Interior Design and Architecture.
